I am writing in support of an organisation I have used extensively for Modern Language tuition at school over the last two years. Voulez-vous parler, run by Sophie Marette, has helped myself as both Head of Year and the Lead Teacher for Gifted and Talented to support, enrich and extend the interest, progress and performance of students ranging from 13 - 18 years with Key stage 3, 4 and 5 in French, Italian and Greek. The latter two languages have been taken up by a number of students as a new subject and I have been genuinely impressed with the patient and professional expertise that has been exhibited by a range of tutors to these beginner students.
I use the exceptional French tutors that are supplied by Sophie to drive the attainment levels of capable students who lack technique, confidence and vocabulary in the subject. The services provided have also allowed the school to increase its uptake of languages at both GCSE and A level. The tuition complements the learning in lessons admirably. The tutors exude a 'love of the linguistic' passing this on to the students with a real enthusiasm and passion for their language. I continue to be impressed by the efficient and professional way in which Sophie co-ordinates the provision and services that the school uses Voulez-vous parler. Our school uses the services for approximately 25 hours each month and find it very good value for money.
